304 / 366 : Flag at B. J.’s corner

11 Mar

It is a national holiday, isn’t it, this day we move to daylight savings? I was driving to the monthly meeting of my garden railroad club on the other side of town when the flag flying at the corner of Sierra Hwy. and Avenue N caught my eye. It’s informally known as B.J.’s corner after a now passed Vietnam Vet who used to sit on this vacant spot of land and watch the aircraft, much of it experimental, fly in and out and around Air Force Plant 42. He erected the flag pole there and someone else now keeps a relatively new flag flying all the time.
